About AFP Legacy Police Charity Ball 2016

The Australian Federal Police Legacy (AFP Legacy) was created to perpetuate the memory of AFP members killed in the line of duty and those who have died whilst serving and in doing so we raise funds to assist the families of those members. We are to the AFP what Police Legacy Schemes are in their respective States.
As a not-for-profit organisation, AFP Legacy is committed to providing professional and compassionate support for the widows, widowers and dependent children of deceased AFP members.
Currently, the AFP Legacy support over forty families through financial and emotional support.
As a charity we rely on funds from a range of different sources such as AFP member donations and from fundraising events.
One such event is the annual and extremely popular, ‘Police Charity Ball’, which is our major fundraiser for the year and is scheduled to be held on Saturday 15 October 2016 at the QT Hotel, Canberra City, ACT.
