A full weekend of Singing workshops including sessions for Community Choir (any and all ages), Youth choir and Teacher Master Class.

This workshop will be facilitated by, Stephanie Eaton. Stephanie holds numerous music degrees in choral conducting, music performance and accompanying, and currently holds the position of Curriculum Teacher and Choir Director at Brisbane Girls Grammar School.  She has also received numerous awards and presented at conferences in Queensland and New South Wales.

If you love to sing, have never sung, want to know what makes choral singing so good for you or have sung for many years in choirs, this weekend will be for you!

In conjunction with this, we will host a screening of the documentary 'When We Sing' with film director, Julie Romaniuk in attendance for a Q & A session. The film is about the power and benefits of singing using the Kodaly method for ALL members of the community. It is an Australian documentary that paves the way for community music making and learning from infants all the way to our oldest living residents. Film director Julie will be able to answer all of your questions about how and why she made ‘When We Sing’.

A pre-screening dinner function will be held prior to the movie for you to mingle with other workshop participants.

Come and sing with us at Border Rivers Sing, you’ll leave with a smile, a heart full of song, a new appreciation for the power of music and singing and you may even accomplish something you didn’t think possible with a large group of singers!
