About The Just Saying Project’s Just For Girls

After three successful and sold- out women’s events The Just Saying Project will host Just For Girls an event for teenage girls from 12 to 17 years and will focus on developing self-esteem and self-care, positive body image, finding individual sparks that create encouraging anchors in a young woman’s life.

Part of the event will include three speakers, plus an interactive creative arts workshop and installation for all the girls to participate in.

Our next event will be held on July 23, 2017 from 2 to 5.30pm at Mackay Fame Talent School.

What JSP  is hoping to achieve from this event is to help young girls appreciate who they are, find inspiration in staying true to who they are and believing that what they bring to the world, through their ideas, words, voice and talent is so much more than how they look to the world.

We want young girls to acknowledge they are all beautiful, but it is how they create, give back and support themselves and others, that allows both their inner and outer beauty radiate.

Part of the afternoon would also utilise JSP’s recent 50 Fabulous Faces project, held at Mackay Town Hall during Queensland Women’s Week and International Women’s Day.

The Just Saying Project’s 50 Fabulous Faces project was about capturing the beauty of women from Mackay and surrounding districts and share the beauty that lives on their faces.

50 Fabulous Faces was created to breakdown the stereotypes of what beauty is and rebuild a new vision of female beauty. This new vision is about rebuilding the foundations of women’s self-belief system, by accepting their unique features and being proud to be who they are.

Afternoon tea will be included in the price of the ticket.
