Since starting in 2008, Melting Pot’s Songwriters in the Round (SITR) is widely viewed as one of Melbourne's premier acoustic events by both artists and audience members alike.

It involves three singer-songwriters sitting in a circle in the middle of a room sharing their songs and the stories behind them. They each take turns in playing their original tunes and the odd cover, one by one, and so it goes 'round'.

It’s an intimate setting with the audience within arm's reach of the artists - listening intently and respectfully while having a bite to eat and a drink or two.

Melting Pot’s SITR on Sunday the 7th of August 2016 includes two rounds which showcases some of the best songwriters going around including: LANKS, Brooke Russell, Ryan Oliver (Oliver’s Army), Chanelle Davis, Joe Forrester and Sherri Parry.
