About RAAF Williamtown - NSW Kids in Need Open House Fundraiser

As part of the NSW Kids in Need - World's Largest Open House Fundraiser Event, RAAF Base Williamtown will be opening their doors to the public on Sunday 30th April from 10am - 2pm.
To gain access on the day of the event, tickets are essential. NSW Kids in Need requests a donation of $10pp over the age of 6yrs, but you decide whether you want to donate more per person. Due to the popularity of this Open House Venue, bookings are capped at 6 people per group booking.
The Royal Australian Air Force Williamtown is proud to have been a part of the Hunter since the late 1930s when the Defence Practice Area was first designated at Williamtown. Defence looks forward to continuing its positive relationship with the local community. It is Air Force's intent that RAAF Base Williamtown remain as the nation’s main fighter pilot training base, and it will house most of the planned F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Lightning aircraft. RAAF Base Williamtown is the home base for the tactical fighter element of the Air Combat Group (ACG) and the Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) element of Surveillance and Response Group (SRG).
Entry to RAAF Base Williamtown:
After you have booked your ticket online, you will receive an email confirming your pre-allocated ticket/s.
Please ensure you bring a PRINTED HARD COPY of the ticket to the event and photo ID for everyone over 16yrs of age, as it is essential for your entry to the event and subject to Security checks.
There will also be NSW Kids in Need Volunteers at the event selling Raffle Tickets to our Super Raffle and collecting any additional donations. Your support is greatly appreciated, so please give generously.
Getting There:
Access to RAAF Base Williamtown for members of the general public who have secured their ticket online to the NSW Kids In Need charity event will be via shuttle bus only - conducting a service loop that will be departing from Williamtown Park. Entry to the park is located 320 metres along Nelson Bay Road (travelling East) from the round-a-bout at Nelson Bay and Medowie Roads. The carpark will be open at 9:15am and shuttle bus services will commence at 9:45am.
