About Regional Pride Symposium and Gala
On International Bisexuality Celebration Day, Rainbow Eagles are providing a day of education, networking opportunities and celebration for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-sexual, intersex, queer and all other sexualities (LGBTIQ+) community in Bendigo and surrounding Victoria. As it is a crucial time for LGTBIQ+ equality in our country we feel that, as a community, we are stronger than ever before. However, our mission to make our voices heard isn’t yet over.
Our guest speakers are allies and community members of the LGTBIQ community who are in high profile positions, Robin Pearson, Linda Kirkman, Sally Goldner and Senator Janet Rice.
The first segment of the event will be a symposium, empowering members of the community by celebration opportunities and presenting discussion about the individual and national issue of the Marriage Equality plebiscite. Also, our guest speakers will be discussing topic of their expertise and passion. Guest speakers will be sharing their truths and engage with the audience in open panel discussion.
Doors will open at 12:30PM
Symposium begins at 1:00PM
The evening segment will be a two-course gala dinner where attendees can network and discuss the topics of interest, including that presented in the symposium. Afterwards, light music will be provided so guests can take the opportunity to network with old friends and make new ones.
Doors will open at 5.00PM
Gala will begin at 5:30PM
Dinner service begins at 6.30PM
Please note: The event has been specially designed to target all those aged above 15 years old. Alcohol will be openly served and mature aged content will be discussed, as such, please consider the nature of this event when purchasing tickets for young people. However, Rainbow Eagles are currently planning more events for the future which are family oriented. Suggestions are always appreciated.
