Go Skating Terms & Conditions


The following Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the facilities at GO SKATING 137 Industrial Road, OAK FLATS NSW. By entering GO SKATING, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions.

Please read the following policies prior to entry. Like all sports, there is always an element of risk, however these can be minimised by following our recommendations.

1.Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person (skater or spectator) who is deemed to be intoxicated with alcohol and/or drugs.

2. Ice skating is performed at the skater’s own risk. Ice skating can be dangerous and involves a significant degree of physical exertion and risk. It is the skater’s responsibility to always maintain reasonable control of his/her speed whilst skating, and to skate within their own skill and ability limitations. Each customer is responsible for his/her own safety. GO SKATING is not responsible for any loss, death or injury that may occur (as defined in the Fair-Trading Act 1999).

By entering both skaters and spectators agree that they have knowledge of, and assume the inherent risks of ice skating which include (but are not limited to) the following (to prevent injury, helmets are available for use):

a) Any Injuries Resulting From:

i) Collision or contact with other skaters/individuals on the ice.
ii) Falls.
iii) Contact with objects/artificial structures that are within the skaters intended path of travel.
iv) Wet flooring or floor coverings that have been moved out of position.

b) Ice Skating is NOT Recommended for:

i) Pregnant women, those in their second or third trimester will not be permitted to skate.
ii) Children under the age of 3 years.
iii) Any person with a heart condition.
iv) Any person with an existing injury.
v) Any person who is a first-time skater (or not skated for many years) and is over 60 years of age. This is due to an increased risk of musculoskeletal injuries. 

3. Staff cannot take any responsibility for items left unattended and are also unable to personally look after your belongings.

4. Smoking is not permitted inside the venue and is required to be conducted at a minimum of 15 meters from the entry.

5. External food or drink is not permitted on the premises. Items will be confiscated and may be collected by the customer from reception at the end of the session. In the case of severe food allergies, please consult with management.

6. GO SKATING reserves the right to view the contents of bags and backpacks prior to entry/exit.

7. Children under the age of 13 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Where You are responsible for children using the facilities, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions on their behalf and that you will directly always supervise them.

8.  Any refunds for general sessions will be at the discretion of management, and no further discussion will be entered. If you have entered and have skated on the ice, regardless of duration, there are no grounds for refunds.

9. Online tickets are non-refundable unless as required by law. Your ticket remains the property of the Supplier, is not transferable and cannot be resold. It is valid only for the date/s shown. Management has the right to cancel a session without prior notice due to unforeseeable circumstances.

10. Make sure you skates are fitted and done up correctly

11. Unacceptable behaviours will not be tolerated: 

a) Consume any alcohol in or around the ice-skating rink.

b) Attend the venue under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

c) Climbing over or sitting on the barrier.

d) Dig or chip holes in the ice or throw ice or snow.

e) Skate excessively fast, against the flow of skaters, or in a fashion that is deemed to be dangerous. Always skate in control.

f) Carry a child whilst skating (regardless of relationship to the child or skill level).

g) Film or photograph any child (excluding a child that is related to you), without the express permission of the parents or guardians in attendance with the child in question. By entering the Arena, you agree that staff may photograph or film you for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes without the customers’ express permission and without any expectation of remuneration.

h) Consume food or drink on the ice.

i) Walk on the ice without skates or cleats.

j) offensive behaviour towards staff or other members of the public.

k) You must comply with all signs and directions of management and staff.

11. Details of the conditions applicable to the purchase of ice-skating tickets on the Website may differ from time to time. GO SKATING reserves the right to make any changes to the details and Conditions of Sale if necessary to comply with any applicable legislation and to change the details and conditions published on the Website, without affording notice, if this does not materially affect the nature of the products purchased by you.

12. These Conditions of Sale shall be governed by and construed firstly in accordance with the laws of the State in which your purchase is made (the courts of which shall have exclusive jurisdiction) and then in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. If any of these Conditions of Sale should be determined to be void, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, such conditions shall be deemed deleted and the remaining Conditions of Sale shall remain and continue to be valid, binding, and enforceable.
