McSwan Family Gold Medal A Grade Piping – Listen to some of Australia’s best solo pipers as they vie for the coveted McSwan Family Gold Medal, competing across three demanding disciplines of Piobaireachd, March, Strathspey & Reel and Air, Hornpipe & Jig. GOLD COIN DONATION
Friday Evening from 7.15pm – McLachlan Park, Maclean
Ceilidh in the Park - Enjoy all the colour and excitement of a Scottish Ceilidh with the music of the pipes & drums, Scottish folk performers, singing and traditional Highland dancing in a relaxed atmosphere in a picturesque riverbank setting. GOLD COIN DONATION

Saturday Morning from 8.30am to 9.15am – River Street Maclean
Pipe Bands on Parade - Join the crowds lining River Street when Maclean - The Scottish Town in Australia comes alive with the spectacular colour and sound of the Pipe Bands on Parade. Be early to secure a great spot.
Saturday – All Day – from 9.00am – Maclean Showgrounds
Main Day – 119th Maclean Highland Gathering - Choose a great vantage point under cover on the hill or mingle around the arena to experience a genuine gathering of the clans with Scottish gift, music and clan stalls, great food and a public booth.
See the physical artistry of the Highland dancers, watch the thrills and spills of the Highland Sports and delight in the sounds of the pipes and drums, as some of Australia’s leading bands compete across six grades to be crowned the 119th Maclean Highland Gathering Champions. Witness the stirring sounds of the Massed Pipe Band Display with up to 600 performers combining for a memorable finale to a magical day.
Saturday Evening from 7.30pm – Former Maclean Services Club
Appreciate solo piping at its finest as you listen to some of the world’s finest exponents of the Great Highland Bagpipe play a recital in immersive surroundings. Previous guest pipers have come from Scotland, Canada, New Zealand and across Australia and include winners of Gold Medal events at Inverness and Oban and the Glenfiddich Piping Championship.
