Perth Mum, Kylee Matson, was inspired to write a poem for Autism Awareness month, based on her five year old son’s drawing of a pirate. This poem led to authoring the children’s book series “Repeat Pete, A Pirate With Repetitive Behaviour”.  Oakley, her eldest boy, is ASD. He was non-verbal until age 4.  Kylee was unrelenting in her commitment to ensure that her son live life to his full potential. With the help of early intervention strategies and dietary changes, this enabled Oakley in his development.
