About Abhinaya 2016: The Indian Classical Dance and Theatre Festival
Join us for Abhinaya-2016, the festival of Indian Classical Dance and Theatre. Malayali Association of Queensland proudly presents a selection of Indian classical dance and theatre performances in association with leading cultural organisations Soorya and Natanakairali. Soorya is the largest arts society of the world and the Soorya Festival – the longest arts festival of the world. Five different Indian dance forms will be showcased by leading dancers and theatre artists from India at Abhinaya-2016. The festival will feature the first ever performance in Brisbane of the 2000 year living tradition of Indian theatre - Kutiyattam which was proclaimed by UNESCO as one of the masterpieces of oral and intangible heritage of mankind!

Sunday June 5th 2016 (Soorya)
Bharathanatyam by Ms. Meenakshi Srinivasan
Kuchupudi by Ms. Pratheeksha Kashi
Odissi by Ms. UtharaAntharjanam
Traditional Indian food will be available for purchase at the venue.

Please note family pass entitles to 3 seats. Kids have free admission if not occupying a seat.
