About Mums’ Cottage fundraiser Movie Night “Finding Your Feet”
A large part of what we do at Mums’ Cottage is assisting and empowering women during and after a marriage breakdown, and doing whatever we can to help them get back on their feet.
The movie “Finding Your Feet” is about a woman called Sandra, a refined British woman, who finds out that her husband of 40 years, is having an affair with her best friend. She seeks refuge with her estranged sister who is a very different person to Sandra. This move is a positive one, with the change in pace and lifestyle being just what she needed, and gradually she starts finding her feet.
Despite the theme, it is a light hearted movie and all money raised on the night will be used to continue the work of Mums’ Cottage in empowering and improving the potential of the lives of women and their families, as they move towards a brighter future, that is, find their feet.
