Ticketebo Reaches Milestone of $2.5 million of tickets sold

By Rebecca Gardner

Online ticketing and event registration business Ticketebo is this week celebrating a landmark achievement, having sold $2.5 million of tickets online since launch.

Launched in August 2013, Melbourne-based Ticketebo is an online ticketing platform for event organisers. Ticketebo delivers an optimised, mobile friendly ticketing experience for consumers, while providing event organisers with the benefits of an integrated online event registration platform, at a fraction of the cost of major ticketing suppliers.

After selling $500,000 in their first six months of business, Ticketebo achieved their next $2 million in sales in the following nine months.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the way the market has embraced our offering,” said Ticketebo’s Managing Director and Co-Founder Oliver Hinton, “Clearly event organisers have been looking for an online ticketing system which offers highly attractive, mobile friendly ticketing with low fee pricing. Organisers also consistently tell us that our products have helped to make their events more successful.”

After completing their first 100 ticketed events in the first nine months of operations, Ticketebo has now completed (or are currently ticketing) over 450 Australian events – an impressive jump of 350 events in the last six months.

Ticketebo’s booking fees of just 3.85%, with no additional credit card surcharges, represent some of the lowest in the industry.  Moreover the service can be delivered at no cost to the event organiser if the booking fee is passed on to the consumer.

Ticketebo offers stunning ticketing web pages and tickets, which are fully responsive to mobile and tablet users.

“Our mobile-friendly ticketing solution has been a key benefit to our customers, given that just under half of all tickets purchased today occur on a mobile device,” Mr Hinton added.

Barcode embedded tickets seamlessly integrate with Ticketebo’s Door Scan Manager app for IOS. This allows organisers to scan tickets and admit patrons at speed and with ease. The app also alerts organisers if a customer presents a ticket that has already been used.

Ticketebo’s customers to date range from community and charity events, right through to major festivals and expos, including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Arnold Classic Australia, The Bathurst Royal Show, The Australian Supercross Championships, The Melbourne Bridal Expo and The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival. Ticketebo has also delivered its ticket solution for a number of private events across the corporate sector, including events for Telstra, Fairfax Media and ASIC.
